Security guard charged in fatal shooting at Whataburger privateofficer.org

RIO RANCHO, N.M. Aug 4 2019 A security guard is now facing criminal charges for shooting and killing a man at a Rio Rancho Whataburger.
Joe Archuleta was already facing a lawsuit over the 2016 death of David Tenorio at the Restaurant on 528, where Archuleta was working security.
According to that suit, Archuleta was not certified to carry a gun when he shot Tenorio following a dispute at the drive-thru window.
Now, nearly three years later, a grand jury has indicted Archuleta for voluntary manslaughter.
KRQE News 13 reached out to the Sandoval County District Attorney to find out why the charges are coming now but are still waiting to hear back.
In the lawsuit, Tenorio’s family also names Whataburger and the security company “No Stone Unturned” for not making sure Archuleta was properly trained and qualified.

Manley, a 29-year-old District security guard, has no qualms about shooting Javone Smith, a masked gunman who, with three others, was allegedly trying to rob a vape shop hosting a pop-up marijuana event on Florida Avenue. 2 shoplifters attempt escape, pepper spray security guard at CT mall privateofficer.org

TRUMBULL CT July 31 2019 — Two Bridgeport women were arrested for shoplifting from the Trumbull Mall Wednesday evening after one pepper-sprayed a security guard while trying to escape, police said. Around 8 p.m., Shazia Depass, 21, and a female juvenile selected more than $500 worth of Macy’s merchandise and left the store without paying. Macy’s and mall security confronted the pair in the parking lot, where Depass was detained. When a Macy’s security officer attempted to apprehend her, the juvenile pepper-sprayed him and a struggle ensued. Both women were held for the police and the security guard was treated on scene by Trumbull EMS.
